Data Recovery

Normal Recovery: $199

If data can be recovered with normal recovery techniques; recovery cost is a $199 flat rate fee. Average turn around time is 1-3 business days, and a external hard drive* is needed as target disk to recover data to. *If customer does not own a external hard drive TGO can provide a 1TB external hard drive at a cost of $75 + tax.

Advanced Recovery: $299

If data can not be recovered using normal methods (ex: hard drive needed to be removed from the device to facilitate a recovery, or does not power on); recovery cost is a $299 flat rate fee. Average turn around time can vary depending on the severity of the issue, and a external hard drive* is needed as target disk to recover data to. *If customer does not own a external hard drive TGO can provide a 1TB external hard drive at a cost of $75 + tax.

Minimum Charge: $50

If data recovery attempts prove unsuccessful there is ONLY a $50 attempt fee charged to the customer.

What does a “Data Recovery” actually mean?

Photos, Documents, Music and Videos, they all live inside the Mac’s hard drive. Unfortunately the nature of Hard drives with moving parts means that at some point in time, it is subject to failure. In addition to physical problems their can also be software related issues that result in a customer needing a data recovery. The recommended solution to this problem is always having a good backup of your files.

Your Mac might start with an apple logo and appear to load, but it get’s stuck mid way through; or you might see a flashing folder with a question mark on your screen. These problems are caused by a failing hard drive or bad software.

If this is you and you do not have a current copy of your data then you are in need of a data recovery before any repairs should be attempted.

How do I know if my data is recoverable or not?

Unfortunately there is no sure fire why of knowing whether or not data is recoverable until a evaluation of the drive has taken place. In most cases, our software methods can recover a full copy of the files you need. However in the rare case of a physical drive failure that we can not recover from, we have partners who can perform physical recoveries in a clean room.
